I've been buying a lot of meat and vegetables from this place and all has been good till I called out one of the guys in the meat department, now they are rude and ignore me when I go in,, so be careful not to call them out on sale items. Today will be our last time ever coming to this establishment. Mind you, prior to this we were weekly shoppers. The customer service here has really gone down hill. The older cashier lady with blonde hair that was working on 8/26/26 @3:45pm was completely disrespectful and flat out rude. She clearly hates her job and needs a reality check on how to act in front of paying customers. This is not our first negative interaction with her either. It's our fault for coming back after the first time. She acts like it'e an inconvenience to speak to you or answer a simple question. As an owner of a business my self I would be heartbroken if one of my employees cost me a customer. Word of mouth is everything in this business. Finally back again at Vine Ripe!! Still my favorite, really really missed this place after being out of state! Super healthy food, great varieties, amazing quality. Prices are up I think, but they are up everywhere and it's still more affordable than many other places. 

They still do buy 3 get 1 free on both juices and cold case. Perfect for people like me who need to stock up for the week. My life is so much better this week because of Vine Ripe! I sound like I'm in a cult, but I would join their cult if they had one - I'm already in their membership program. Call me!

The jamaica I had was one of the best I've had! Better than so many Mexican places tbh! The carrot juice is always so solid and healing. The juices here are always the best, and so much cheaper than like Whole Foods etc.
I really want to try their whole rotisserie chicken on top of rice someday. The bulgur side in the deli is my favorite food - I even looked up a recipe for it while I was living out of state so I could keep having it :)

I have been shopping at Vine Ripe every Sunday for the last last year.
The store is very family oriented.And the service is excellent.
The people in the bakery are making the BEST lavash. And if you have any questions regarding baking goods they are here to assist you.

As a La Mesa resident, one of the highlights of my weekends is visiting my favorite grocery store, Vine Ripe Market. The warm smell of fresh bread and pastries welcomes me as soon as I walk in. I love exploring the international delicacies, loose-leaf teas, fresh meats, and beautiful produce--it feels like stepping back into a cherished part of my childhood from thousands of miles away. The employees here are all wonderful. They're always super nice and helpful. 

They have amazing sales and I recommend signing up for the weekly ads. 

Produce: Most produce are fresh but I've also noticed some being old or close to becoming old. But it's always worth a search for some good ones when there's a sale and I"m always able to find some good produce to take home. I've seen worst at Zion Market.

Meats: Mixed Reviews as well - the sales are amazing and the meat can be quite good. It's all Halal. 

However, for this weekend specifically - the smell from the meat section is horribly strong. I noticed it a couple weeks ago maybe? It seems like they didn't clean whatever is going on and it got worst with time. 

I love this market and I don't want them to go out of business. My recommendation is maybe they clear out the meats and give the whole department a good deep cleaning. Also consider implement clean processes to keep the smell away because it's really impacting what is being sold. It's off putting to take home meats that it has a funky smell.

The weekly specials are all greatly priced. Especially for their Friday steaks, can't beat that! Service is always good, staff is super friendly. The deli also has really good food and weekly specials
